27.08 Report Cards
(a) Principals shall give Teachers notice of
deadlines associated with the preparation of report cards by Sept
30.
(b) The principal may provide clerical support
to Teachers for the production of report cards,
in so far as each school budget shall allow.
(c) Peer review of report cards is at the
Teacher's discretion.
LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING
REPORT CARDS AND IEPs
(a) The Parties agree to establish a joint
committee for the purposes of investigating strategies and/or
opportunities to reduce Teacher workload associated with the
preparation of report cards and Individual Education Plans.
(b) The committee shall include up to three (3)
representatives from the Local and up to three (3) representatives
from the Board.
(c) Meetings of the Committee shall be scheduled
to commence within thirty (30) days of ratification and shall
conclude by June 30, 2009.
(d) Any recommendations agreed to by the
committee regarding report cards shall be implemented for the first
reporting period in the Fall of 2009.
(e) Any recommendations agreed to by the
committee regarding IEPs shall be implemented on a schedule as
agreed by the committee to commence no later than January 1,
2010.
